We are proud to announce a new collaboration between Aretian Urban Analytics and Design and Exea Impact. The Puig Family Foundation to launch our first joint initiative focused on urban resilience and climate adaptation.

This project marks an important milestone in expanding the capabilities of the Aretian City Digital Twin of the metropolitan region of Barcelona, supported by the Torras Lombana Family Foundation and Barcelona Global since 2024, through the integration of a new climate resilience layer of data, scenarios, analysis and localized recommendations.

By combining advanced urban analytics, AI, and digital twin technologies, this initiative will enable deeper analysis of how extreme climate events impact cities and communities — with a particular focus on heat waves, flooding risks, and their effects on public health and quality of life, especially for vulnerable populations. The project will strengthen our ability to:

  • Identify areas of highest climate vulnerability

  • Simulate future scenarios and anticipate impacts

  • Support evidence-based urban and territorial decision-making

  • Design faster, more precise, and more resilient actions and responses to climate change

At Aretian, we believe that the future of urban planning lies in combining city science, advanced analytics, and immersive digital environments to help cities become healthier, more sustainable, and more resilient.

A sincere thank you to Exea Impact for the trust and shared ambition behind this initiative. We look forward to building together new tools to support the resilient cities of tomorrow.
