This Urbanism event helps identify opportunities for the biggest urbanism practitioners Europe and Worldwide.

During this conference, Ramon presented the work that Aretian Urban Analytics and Design has been developing during the past few years, focusing on shaping the urban design and economic development strategy of innovation districts, to ignite their positive effects on urban environments and societies. He explained the 3 networks studied by Aretian; the Network of Talents, the Network of Industries, and the Network of Urban Infrastructure, as each of these urban layers is related to the innovation potential of urban environments. Ramon also presented Aretian’s most recent paper which, explores the 10 different city typologies and their potential related to the 15-minute city. The 15-minute-city is a novel concept redeveloped by Carlos Moreno which aims at an urban location where most human needs for amenities are located within a travel distance of 15 minutes by foot. The research Aretian led on this topic was very conclusive and defined the fractal city as the most successful typology to be paired with the 15-minute city.
